For openers Iran could possibly already have the bomb, if not they are obviously very close. I think Iran is slowly building toward dominance in the area, once they announce they have the bomb, they will gain even that much more "respect." They are the real power brokers in Iraq with the Shiite population & hate the "great satan" USA. The "mother of all battles" for the USA will be with Iran, it is just a matter of time.
