Government Takes Over U.S. Airline Passenger Screening

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The government will take over from the airlines 
responsibility for checking passenger names against terrorism watch lists 
and will begin testing its system within two months, the Transportation 
Security Administration announced Thursday.
